Frequently Asked Questions
Q.) What is compounding?
A.) Compounding is the creation of custom medication by specially trained pharmacists and pharmacy staff based on a prescription from your doctor. Often pharmaceutical manufacturers don’t produce the product, strength, or dosage form you need to be properly treated. Compounding allows your condition to be treated with the utmost effectiveness and efficiency.
Q.) Can I refill my prescription by email or on this website?
A.) Soon, you will be able to request refills on your medications online* and they will be ready for pickup within 30 minutes.
* Note: All prescriptions must be picked up at the pharmacy. We can not ship medications to you.
Q.) Do you accept all insurance?
A.) We accept most insurance and are adding contracts as quickly as we can. Contact the Pharmacy department (ext. 110) to find out if your insurance is accepted. This does not apply to compounds, please contact the compounding department (ext. 117) to find out if your insurance is accepted.
Q.) How long will it take for my compound to be ready for pickup?
A.) We complete compounded prescriptions on a first come first serve basis. This means when we receive your compound prescription it is processed and enters into a queue. We recommend you coordinate with your doctor to make sure we receive your compound at least 2-3 days before you actually need it.
Q.) What Durable Medical Equipment do you carry?
A.) We carry a wide selection of DME for sale and to rent. If we don’t carry it, we can probably order it for you. Call us before coming in if you’re not sure we have what you’re looking for.
